Members of the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) seized a total of 332,136 pesos of suspected illegal drugs and arrested 12 suspects in six different purchase operations in the city on Saturday September 17 and Sunday September 18.
QCPD station Holy Spirit (PS 14) arrested two suspects, identified as Jerry Lagnason, 48, and John Daniel Papa, 22, both residents of Quezon City in connection with a home buying operation from Diego Silang Street, Brgy. Pasong Tamo in the city.
According to the police report, PS 14 personnel ambushed the suspects around 11:20 p.m. Saturday and recovered six packets of alleged shabu worth 204,000 pesos, a brown purse and cash from the chest.
Another buy-bust operation organized by QCPD Novaliches station (PS 4) along Magat St, Brgy. Sauyo, Novaliches on the same day resulted in the confiscation of 60,000 pesos worth of suspected marijuana from a suspect.
Lieutenant Colonel Von June Nuyda, commander of PS 4, identified the suspect as King Angelo Lauron, 22, of Brgy. 163, Caloocan City, who was arrested around 3 p.m.
Police also recovered a cell phone and Lauron’s buyout money.
Officers from Fairview Station (PS 5) also arrested three drug suspects – John Ryu Bataller, 34, listed as the #4 station-level drug personality; Jeffrey Ramirez, 39, both from Quezon City; and Angela Carabaca; 39, of Caloocan City – in a buy-sell transaction along J. Abad Santos Street, Brgy. Sta. Lucia around 9:30 p.m. on Saturday.
The suspects seized two and a half grams of “shabu” worth 17,000 pesos, a black pouch, redemption money and a cell phone.
Meanwhile, Payatas Bagong Silangan Station (PS 13) seized 30,600 pesos worth of alleged shabu from two suspects at a house in Lupang Pangako, Brgy. Payatas B around 4:00 p.m. on Saturday.
PS 13 identified the suspects as Arwin Nicole Resterio, 40, and Emer Bernal, both of said barangay.
Three other suspects were arrested by members of Pasong Putik Proper (PS 16) station in a takeover operation at Barnagay Sta. Monica, Novaliches around 9:30 p.m. the same day.
Lt. Col. Vicente Bumalay Jr. identified the suspects as Basilio Delima, 53; Eddie Serioso, 40, and Francis Almogera, 29; all the residents of the said barangay, who handed over for 20,400 pesos of “shabu”, a black purse and a mobile phone.
Anonas Police Station (PS 9) also arrested 26-year-old Bernard Balleras, a resident of Barangay UP Campus, Quezon City, after he surrendered a bag of shabu allegedly worth P136 along CP Garcia Street, in said barangay at 5 a.m. Sunday, September 18th.
All suspects will be charged with violations of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, police said.
